Dente di Leone (Italian for 'wild dandelion') is a common plant whose roots, leaves and flowers are all edible. Traditionally, it was a base for herbal medicines and liqueurs and is believed to be beneficial for health and digestion. Amaro Dente di Leone is made from the mountain variety with its smaller, heartier leaves and intense aroma.

The history of Licor 43 began in the 1940's when the company started to recreate an ancient Roman recipe known as Liqvor Mirabilis. The Romans banned the production and consumption, but the Carthaginians continued in secret. Nowadays, this elixir inspires the recipe of Licor 43. In the 1960's Spain started to see the arrival of thousands of tourists eager to enjoy the paradisiac climate.
